Silipads protect your toddler’s little knees
By Laurie Posted on April 1st, 2009 in Baby, Baby & Kids, Design, Health, Must Reads, Reviews, ecoki shopIs your little one becoming a little more sure of themselves, and tentatively starting to cozy up to crawling? Or perhaps they’re zooming about, moving from A to B along the living room floor, enjoying their new found freedom?
We recently featured how much we love Silikids, in our article Silikids silicone accessories are
anything but silly, and have had the opportunity to review a few items from their kid-friendly collection.
(Note that currently this company seems to be defunct)
Their silicone and cotton kneepads, we have to say, are the cutest things we have ever seen. Developed from cotton with a silicone pad protection, they’re designed to keep your baby comfortable and bruise-free while they scoot around on their hands and knees.
We love the bright, happy colours they come in. Your choice of tone-on-tone blues, greens, oranges, or a purple/red duo can be selected to fit your child’s personality (or even match the decor of their bedroom).
They offer enough stretch to ensure a one-size-fits-most design, and Silikids says they will fit most babies from 6 to 24 months – following them throughout their stages.
The Silipads easily slip over the foot and slide up to the knee (like a volleyball knee-pad), and have a circular silicone padding to prevent unwanted slippage on hardwood or other smooth flooring.
Because they are machine washable, you can also use them outside, protecting them from twigs and stones hiding among the grass.
And did we mention how adorable they are? Well, they are. And for just $14.95, they’ll protect your baby’s knees throughout their crawling adventures.
