Silibibs mess-free, easy clean baby bibs
By Laurie Posted on April 1st, 2009 in Baby, Baby & Kids, Health, Reviews, ecoki shopSure it’s adorable when your infant or toddler smiles with a gooey mess of spaghetti or mashed peas on their cheeks, in their hair, and up their nose. A perfect photograph to be had, but the later clean up? Not always a breeze.
We recently featured how much we love Silikids, in our article Silikids silicone accessories are
anything but silly, and have had the opportunity to review a few items from their kid-friendly collection.
Their Silibib provides an answer with a stain-resistant response to conventional baby bibs. Nothing says easy clean-up like this silicone-based bib – in fact, you can throw it right in the dishwasher!
The Silibib is designed to lay flat on your baby’s chest, and won’t absorb any mess that doesn’t make it into their mouth. We especially love the colours, giving you the option of a contrasting red/white, green/blue, blue/brown, or grey/yellow minimalist design, with enough whimsy to make it interesting, but not one of those things that, a year down the road, you’ll wonder, what was I thinking?
The design features two easy open/close silicone “buttons” to make removable a breeze even if baby is squirming or fussy. And because they are silicone-based, they are also hypoallergenic, perfect for your child’s sensitive skin.
We also love the natural traction built into the silicone material, so food that doesn’t make it into their belly’s doesn’t slide off the bib and make a mess. (And yes, undoubtedly feeding time results in some mess, but at least the bib remains scot-free, and their clothing a little cleaner).
For just $12.95, you get a durable, stain-resistant bib that will last through every feeding until the food finally finds their mouth.
