Finally with a better alternative to the functional lighting of incandescent and halogen bulbs, Philips has developed a new solid-state bulb built similarly to their conventional counterparts.
The MASTER LED utilizes a LUXEON® Rebel technology developed from quality materials ensuring that they are lead and mercury free. With it’s plug-and-play design, it brings in all of the benefits of LED technology and combines it to functional lighting.
The MASTER LED is an energy saving alternative, using up to 80% less energy than
standard halogen and incandescent lamps. And because it has a long life – about 45 times longer than incandescent bulbs – it also saves on having to replace it more often. It also only uses 7 Watts of power.
In addition to the benefits for both for the environment and energy costs, its functioning ability doesn’t falter. The new LED produces a high quality light, nary of UV-infrared rays in the beam. It also doesn’t emit heat, and is available in three different types, both in cool white and warm.
Guido van Tartwijk, Global Product Marketing leader for the bulb knows this is the solution that individuals need: something reliable, affordable and environmentally friendly. “ [The] MASTER LED not only epitomizes the ‘better than replacement’ vision, but it is the product that we all want to put in our homes and experience,” he explained. “It’s great to know that the work by all the Philips teams around the world has resulted in a solution that provides great light and makes a positive impact on our shared environment.”
