One diaper for three years? Easy, with Fuzzibunz.
By Laurie Posted on May 29th, 2009 in Baby, Fashion, Living Green, Must ReadsI’m a new aunt, and I can’t get enough of my nephew. It’s hard to not love every little inch of him, regardless if he’s giggling and smiling or pooping and peeing.
But just when I thought he couldn’t get any cuter, I found the FuzziBunz One-Size
Diapers and strapped them on his little behind.
Like most aunts/not-moms, I love to spend the day with him – but more than willing to pass along the stinky diaper. But then I discovered the next step in baby bum bliss.
The FuzziBunz are a one-size cloth diaper that grows with your baby. It’s innovative design takes the next step in eco-friendly undies, adjustable to fit babies 7 to 35 pounds. The waist can adjust to four sizes, and the legs to eight, with easy closure – but secure buttons allowing a perfect fit.
They’re also durable, adding to the guarantee to last you the three years of your baby’s diaper life, with secure snaps and elastics built to last.
They also include a fleece interior so your babe stays dry and rash-free, a back pocket with an absorbent insert to help suck in any smells, and a waterproof exterior. And because you can reuse it for years, you save a load of money and decrease a bigger load of waste, while dressing your baby in an eco-savvy and adorably cute bum cover!
Check them out at FuzziBunz; we definitely think these are a great eco-buy.

I have something similar for my baby but this sounds a lot better. I have to say though, buying cloth diapers that can adjust to fit your baby for a year or more makes way more sense than buying new diapers every 3 months.

This is a great idea. And so timely, too, in these times. I mean, you’d only need to buy a handful of them and use them for years. They say that they are long lasting, too, so hopefully good for a few rounds of kids.

I love these. I bought them three months ago and they are amazing on my little one. So, so comfortable, too.

Who cares how long they last? Super cute!

Steve – totally makes sense, and PN – they sure are!

We are using BumGenius 3.0’s for our 3-month old. Same concept – they grow with your baby – and they are awesome. We use disposables occasionally if we are going to be gone all day and don’t want to lug around a ton of dirty diapers, and every time we use a disposable it leaks. The cloth diapers rarely do. So, not only are they good for the environment, your baby’s skin, and your wallet, they also avoid disgusting blowouts!

Are these really better for the environment than disposables? I mean, how much water / electricity is used in cleaning these and does it really offset the detrimental impact of the disposable variety?
Marketing hype or truly beneficial.
