Chocolate giant Cadbury recently announced that they will become the largest Canadian chocolate company to sell fair-trade chocolates.

dairy-milkStarting next summer, their Dairy Milk chocolate bar will include a fair-trade logo, telling buyers that they follow fair-trade guidelines for their cocoa producers. They also will donate additional funds to community improvements in Ghana.

Although this is a good starting point, only 11% of all Cadbury chocolates will be fair-trade.

We’ll assume that this is just that – a starting point – as Cadbury aims to harnessing the market full-on.

What do you think? Will you go buy a Fair-Trade Dairy Milk bar, while they still support non-Fair-Trade initiatives?
