Disneynature launches “earth”, April 22nd
By Laurie Posted on April 14th, 2009 in Latest News, TechnologyLong awaited films from Disney’s new film company, Disneynature, are set to launch: starting with the first one, earth, released on Earth Day 2009.
Narrated by the throaty, deep bass vocal chords of James Earl Jones, earth outlines the story of three different animal families and their journey across the planet.
All films in the Disneynature series aim to produce outstanding nature documentaries working alongside the world’s top documentary filmmakers. earth is no exception: Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, who worked together on the 11 part, Emmy award winning mini-series Planet Earth were called upon to deliver this Disney feature.

The documentary – set to release in theatres on Earth Day (April 22nd), features three animal families: polar bears, African elephants, and humpback whales – one from each ecosystem – and their journey.
Disney is also offering an incentive to see it next week: if you buy a ticket for opening week through their site, they’ll plant a tree in your honour. (Available only to US residents).
Check out their Disneynature site (disney.go.com/disneynature) for more upcoming movies, such as Oceans, Big Cats, and the Crimsonwing, story about flamingos.
And visit earth, for details about the film, a trailer, and information about the directors and development of the documentary.

Hi, I saw Earth about a month ago, but I remember it well. I think it was the best movie since “Race to Wich Mountain”. But this movie was the cutest, interesting movie I have seen. This movie is unforgetable, a story that will open many hearts to nature. That’s what I think. But the movie is also funny/ the one bird dancing and cleaning its den. ( lol ). Well I want to see the movie again it is the best movie. But thats just my opinion.
Love Earth fan,
