Ever heard of Aquaponics? It’s a new approach to food production that focuses on cultivating plants and fish in a single, symbiotic relationship.

This video features the folks from OrganicNation.tv, who traveled to Flanagan, aquaponicsIllinois to seek out some Aquaponics basics. Myles Harston of AquaRanch Industries has been working with this new form of production since 1992.

The team visits him at his innovative facility, checking out Myles’ mission, where he grows tilapia and a variety of organic vegetables including lettuce, kale, chard, herbs, tomatoes, and hot peppers.
